We are thrilled to report that 66 Halton elementary schools collected
over $47,445.00 of food donations with
over 11,000 cans of canned meat collected. $15,553 of the food that Food4Kids Halton could not use was donated to Food for Life (Milton), Georgetown Bread Basket, and Burlington Foodbank. Thank you to all the schools that participated in the Great Canned Meat RoundUp this year!

hunger is a real problem in our community
"Many children have hard-working parents doing their best to provide for their kids, but even with a full time job, they struggle to feed their families. Hunger is a real problem in our community. I believe Food4Kids Halton is a program that addresses poverty at its very core."
i never though our family would depend on others for food
"I never thought our family would depend on others for food. With a medical problem, I had no choice but to quit work. As a single parent raising 2 great kids, there is barely enough money for rent, little money for food and absolutely no money for extras.
When the school asked if I would like to involve my kids in the Food4Kids program, all I could do was cry. Knowing my children have food brings comfort. The fresh fruits, soups and healthy snacks are appreciated. Thank you for this service. The volunteers at Food4Kids are angels."
we would be lost without food4kids
"We are grateful, we would be lost without Food4Kids, we are less stressed, kids are less hungry and delivery is convenient and so appreciated. The kids see that the community cares for them."
