BE CREATIVE AND HAVE FUN WHILE SUPPORTING FOOD4KIDS

We are forever amazed (and forever grateful) for the fun and creative ways funds are raised by the community.

It’s a great way to support Food4Kids Halton and give back to the community. Whether it’s a staff event, a tournament (golf, baseball, hockey) or … The opportunities are endless!

Before you plan your event, please view our Fundraising Guide that provides information about developing your event and ways we can help.

If you have any questions,

GARAGE SALE

Clean out the garage or reclaim the basement and donate the proceeds to Food4Kids. You'd be surprised how quickly the profits can add up, who knows maybe aunt Agnes' teacups will be a huge seller. The FUN part, when day is done, and your decluttered house feels amazing!

OFFICE AUCTION

This is a great way to raise funds! Staff members offer a service such as: baking a pie, lunch with the CEO, babysitting, pick up dry cleaning, driving a colleague to work and then hold an office auction to bid on services. This is a lot of fun and a real office morale booster.

MUFFIN MONDAY

Every Monday morning, a staff member volunteers to bring in muffins (home baked or store bought). The muffins are sold for $2 with proceeds collected and donated to Food4Kids. This is a fun event and on Monday mornings…. appreciated by those in a rush with no time for breakfast!

DRESS-DOWN DAY

Everyone's favourite day of the week -- yes Friday – but also the day to strut your casual office attire, and feel just a little bit happier in your work. Recent studies say 61% of employees are more productive when the dress code is relaxed.

NEIGHBOURHOOD PARTY

Build relationships in your community, spread the word about child hunger... and enjoy some good food with good neighbours. The winning format for raising funds is up to you, some ideas include auction items or a charge per attendee.

KIDS4KIDS EVENT

Kids these days... have such generous hearts. And they feel especially moved to help children who do not have food security. From donations in lieu of gifts at their next party, to proceeds from their crafts. Kids are experts at generosity.
